The firm has a general practice, and with the lawyers affiliated to the office has broad experience of civil law, criminal law and administrative law.

The civil practice comprises all activities relating to the legal position of the client and his/her  representation and defense in court, advising clients before, during and after legal proceedings and advising clients on instituting and avoiding legal proceedings. This comprises (among other things) the legal areas of project development, contract law, condominium law, general conditions, corporate issues, labour issues, trademark and copyright issues, banking law issues, issues concerning medical liability, construction law issues, insurance law, rental issues and the law of persons and family issues. The firm does not provide assistance related to the purchase and sale of register objects and/or businesses, neither does it provide management services of any monies or assets of clients.

The emphasis in criminal law practice is placed primarily on fraud issues and border-transgressing criminal law, but suspects of more common offences can also count on optimum legal assistance.

In the area of administrative law the office operates primarily in the field of civil service law, social security law, bidding procedures and immigration law. The firm has also gained ample experience of LAR (Administrative Law Act of the Dutch Antilles/Aruba) cases.

The firm is characterised by accuracy, legal quality, fast service and a pragmatic approach in an informal atmosphere. To guarantee this, the office has a first-rate library, direct access to the most important national and international law sources and an outstanding relationship with various offices abroad. This ensures that sound specialist knowledge is always available.

The lawyers affiliated to the firm are qualified to practice law in Aruba and in the other islands of the Dutch Caribbean. The firm handles cases and conducts legal proceedings both in Aruba and in other Islands of the Dutch Caribbean, more in particular Bonaire.

The interest of the client always comes first. First and foremost, there is no charge for an initial discussion at our office. Furthermore legal proceedings will only be recommended if absolutely necessary. In that event however, all legal avenues and remedies are explored and used, without losing sight of alternative ways of settling disputes.
